Frequently Asked Questions…

1. How do I download beats?
Make sure you’re logged in, RIGHT-Click the Download button and in the drop down menu box click on “Save Target As…” (in IE) or “Save Link As…” (in Firefox) and save the mp3 to your computer.

2. Can I use beats I download on this site for free?
It depends on what your using it for, beats by www.NIPproductions.com can only be used for nonprofit and noncommercial uses and you must provide a link back to our website where ever the beat is displayed. You can not make any profit using our beats unless you first purchase a lease for only $35. The lease enables you to use the production for profit/commercial use (Albums, Mixtapes, Live Performances, etc…).

Visit the DOWNLOAD POLICY page for more info.

3. How do I buy a beat from your website?
Click on the BUY A LEASE button next to the beat you want to purchase and the beat will be added to your shopping cart. You can then continue to shop for more beats or you can check out and make your payment. When you decide to check out, you will be taken to the PayPal payment page where you can pay with a Credit Card (no PayPal account required) or log in to your PayPal account and pay with PayPal funds. Once payment is received and cleared, you will receive an e-mail within 12-24 hours with a download link to the full mixed version of the beat in high quality .wav format. We will also mail you an official signed and dated paper contract granting you rights to the beat.

Visit the BUY A BEAT page for more info.

4. How can I purchase Exclusive Rights to a beat?
Contact info@NIPproductions.com to discuss prices for Exclusive Rights.

5. Whats the difference between Leasing Rights and Exclusive Rights?
With Leasing Rights, you can make one master recording for profitable commercial purposes and you can sell that recording for up to 2,000 copies through a profitable medium (i.e. LP, EP, mixtapes, internet paid downloads). If you sell more then 2,000 copies of your recording just renew your lease. Leasing Rights also entitles you to radio play with your song and live shows/performances. Leasing Rights remain intact even after Exclusive Rights are sold to someone else later on, as long as your Leasing Rights were purchased beforehand.

With Exclusive Rights, you can make multiple master recordings for all profitable commercial or broadcast purposes. Exclusive rights also guarantees that the beat will no longer be sold or offered for download to anyone else.

6. Is it safe and secure to purchase on this website?
Yes. All NIPproductions.com orders are processed directly through PayPal’s secure website, you never have to input your Credit Card information on our site.

7. Can I buy the Exclusive Rights later on if I purchased a Lease first?
If Exclusive Rights have not already been sold then yes, you can upgrade your Lease to an Exclusive Rights contract and you will only be charged the difference in price.

8. How can I trust you? You could just take my money and never send me the beat and contract!
N.I.P. Productions has been doing business online and offline since 1998, we’ve never had an unsatisfied customer after working with thousands of artists and companies (iTunes and Rhapsody to name a few) across the globe. We have a lot of return buyers that liked our work and our service so much that they came back for more.

9. Will you produce for me for free? Can I have a beat for free to use on my album I’ll be selling?
Sorry… We made our prices affordable for everyone. If your serious about making money off your music and would like to establish a legitimate reputation in the music industry, then investing in a Lease is the easiest and most cost efficient way to jump start your career.

10. Why should I license a beat if other people can license the same beat?
The reason why non-exclusive licensing/leasing works so well for artist like you is because the 2000 copy limit we impose basically discourages someone from distributing a song with the beat nationwide or worldwide. This limits it to a more local basis. ‘2000′ is a statistically estimated number that minimizes the chances of two songs clashing with the same beat. This creates fair play amongst all of our clients who lease a beat. We know that if a artist is truly ready to sell more than 2000 copies, they will purchase the exclusive rights. Additionally, we generally do not sell a beat to multiple clients in the same city. (exceptions to this rule may be extremely large and music-centralized cities).
